Posted in Missing, Project New Era on October 23, 2011 by projectnewera

More than 100 law enforcement personnel and volunteers are searching for Jahessye Shockley in Glendale, Ariz.

According to Glendale Police, an Amber Alert was issued Tuesday evening when the 5-year-old girl went missing from her family’s home in an apartment complex near Glendale Road and 45th Avenue.

It was around 5 p.m. when Jahessye’s mother returned from running a quick errand and discovered the girl missing, said Officer Tracey Breeden, a Glendale Police Department spokesperson.

Jahessye had been at home with her three siblings, ages 6, 9 and 12.

Breeden said the mother said that when she got home, the front door was open, but Jahessye wasn’t inside and the siblings did not know where she was.

The mother searched around the apartment complex and called 911.

No one else lived at the home with the mother and her children.

18 Year Old Rosemary Newman, Pregnant & Strangled by Child’s Father

Posted in Pregnant, Project New Era on April 29, 2011 by projectnewera

Twenty-year-old Deandre Minkins and his girlfriend 19-year-old Shante Thomas have been charged with first-degree murder and intentional homicide of an unborn child. Good, but who knows how extensively they’ll be punished.

A brief investigation revealed that Minkins and Thomas extensively planned and plotted the murder of Rosemary Newman over a span of several weeks. Rosemary was nine months pregnant, and Deandre Minkins was the father of her unborn child, although the two weren’t romantically involved. Shante and Deandre must have come to a mutual understanding that this child must not be born, probably because the deadbeat didn’t want to pay child support, or maybe Shante was blinded with jealousy over having to share her new man with a young child and ex girlfriend. At any rate, they plotted and on the night of the murder, their plans came to fruition.

UPDATE: CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – New details on the search for a missing Cleveland girl.

The 12-year-old was located at 3AM Wednesday morning in the Garden Valley Apartments located at E. 79th and Kinsman.

19 Action News has learned police arrested a seasonal Parks and Recreation city worker – Michael Hudson – and charged him with rape.

Cleveland Police learned of the child’s missing status on May 5th, when her mother notified police that she was under home detention and left home without permission. There was increased concern for her safety because she takes medication for bi-polar disorder and depression.

Her mother Tonae Bolton says she’ll is relieved her daughter is finally back home. “Everything was a mystery, so I’m just glad she’s home safe.”

During the investigation, with the assistance of the FBI Violent Incident Crime Task Force, Cleveland Police obtained information that led them to Hudson. He has allegedly been in a relationship and harboring the girl since she left home on May 5th.

Hudson is currently being held in the City of Cleveland Division of Corrections Central Prison Unit.

The child was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, where she was examined and released late Wednesday morning.
